Harmonizing occupational health, energy efficiency and thermal comfort provides stronger and healthier organizations as well as better buildings!

The goal of most air conditioning systems is the comfort of users. If this goal is not met, stressful work environments are created, sometimes even unfeasible.

The application of insufflation by the floor, by concept, allows energy savings, both as much as requiring less power for ventilation, as well as by working with higher temperatures in the air insufflation, which allows higher temperatures in the cold water and better yields in the water-cooling system.

It also allows a healthier environment, where aerosols and particulates are pushed out of the zone of occupation, as well as allows a more individualized temperature control. However, for this potential to be realized, it is necessary to work with the appropriate equipment.

The diffusion of air through the floor can significantly favor the reduction in energy consumption in air conditioning, due to the use of inflation temperatures from 4ºC to 6ºC, higher than the temperatures applied in diffusion system by the ceiling.

This allows you to work with higher cold-water temperatures, which considerably decreases the energy expenditure on compressors. Just remember the Carnot Cycle, to whom we were introduced by physics teachers in high school. Another feature that can result in energy savings is the stratification of air above the zone of occupation, typical of well-sized systems.

An example of success is the Birmann 32 building, located in Sao Paulo, a project that was part of Dannenge international’s HVAC project.

“As always happens when we work with air distribution systems by the floor, it was with great satisfaction that we participated in the Birmann 32 project. We have always had excellent results when applying complete floor inflation systems, with hundreds of successful installations around the world. The B-32 is an example of a sustainable building, and greatly weighs the quality and flexibility that a floor air distribution system can offer. I’m sure this is the best option to get a really healthy work environment, especially if we associate floor inflation, an active air purification system, such as photocatalysis, proven effective in controlling air contamination,” says Ricardo Cherem de Abreu, technical director of Dannenge International.

Dannenge’s technical staff has extensive experience in HVAC system designs for the most different applications and offers a complete line of products focused on indoor air quality and energy efficiency of built environments. They are equipment applied in the most demanding markets in the world, with internationally recognized performance. In addition to products, it offers consulting, training, and after-sales support.
